Hi, my name is Julia Boller from Arlington, Virginia. A freshman at Virginia Tech, undecided on my pursuits in college, but I would like to have some focus on something sports related.

The Perfect Game Foundation came into my life during sophomore year of high school, and have been a part of three of the wonderfully organized TPGF Fund Raiser golf tournaments, which are always a highlight of my summer! Del has given me so much guidance into my future pursuits, and has fueled my drive to pursue a sport related degree in the future. I have begun to research sports analytics as a major at Virginia Tech, and it is definitely one of my options at the moment.

Del has also inspired me to pursue sports photography, and given me large amounts of tips and tricks to improve my photography. I took pictures for the baseball team at my high school this past year, and would not have been able to do without Del’s encouragement to become more involved in the world of sports! I am so grateful for the continued mentorship provided by TPGF and all of the insightful information provided me with to provide a far better understanding of the best career options.

"There is no substitute for Excellence – not even success. Success is tricky, perishable and often outside our control; the pursuit of success makes a poor cornerstone, especially for a whole personality. Excellence is dependable, lasting and largely an issue within our own control; pursuit of excellence, in and for itself, is the best of foundations,” The Heart of the Order, by Thomas Boswell (Doubleday, 1989).
