Jay has over 20 years experience managing high-end golf facilities including 15 years with the TPC Network. He has been the Head PGA Professional at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm for 12 years. His club has hosted many prestigious events including the Kemper Open, Chrysler Cup, FBR Capital Open, Booz Allen Classic, Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship, Birdies for the Brave and the Web.Com Mid Atlantic Championship. As a Senior Head Professional for the TPC Network, Jay also oversees TPC Southwind in Memphis, TN and TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, TX.
Jay sits on multiple Middle Atlantic PGA Section boards and The First Tee of Montgomery County. Golf shops directed by Jay have been awarded Top 100 Golf Shops eight times.
He is a graduate of New Mexico State University where he earned a degree in Professional Golf Management. In August of 2012, he played 180 holes in 12 hours and 45 minutes, with an average score/round of 71.9, raising over $18,000 to benefit The First Tee, nationally and locally. Born in Morris, Minnesota and raised in Fargo, ND, Jay was forced to binge on golf in the short season offered. A fan of all sports, he uses the core value that sports can provide to mentor and coach staff in their careers. Jay lives in Potomac Falls, VA with his wife, Michelle, and two children, Mason and Mia.
